• What we do

The All Parliamentary Party Group (APPG) on Endangered Species exists to:

  • ensure that the plight of endangered species is on the political agenda of Government
  • act as a channel for contacts with experts, NGOs, and parliamentarians overseas
  • influence the development and introduction of effective wide-ranging global agreements
  • focus on ensuring that such agreements are enforced robustly

Rachel Maclean, MP for Redditch County, became Chair of the group in September 2017 following her election to Parliament. Rachel has a passion for protecting endangered species.

The group meets regularly to receive briefings from animal protection interest groups which it then uses to inform Parliamentary Questions, Westminster Hall and Adjournment debates and letters to domestic and foreign Government Ministers and Officials.

The next meeting is on the 1 October. Get in touch for more information.
